Parents

Children are a blessing from the LORD and He wants us to teach them His ways.

Deuteronomy 6:4-9 (NIV) says ...

"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates."

We understand that parents are most accountable for teaching children about God and as a church, we seek to partner with parents. Studies continue to show (even in this modern age) that parents are still the strongest influence in a child's life. At Grace, we want to encourage and equip mom and dad in this special calling.

Our hope for the 2023-24 school year is to offer a parent series that will encourage and motivate parents to disciple their children. This series includes parenting principles as well as practices that families can do each week at home.

Each Sunday at Grace, we have adults who prepare and come minister to children. These adults are members of Grace Christian Fellowship and have passed background checks. They pray, prepare, and come to teach and lead children in Bible study and activities. We use the Gospel Project curriculum. This along with discipleship led by parents at home will help children learn more about Jesus and our hope is that they will follow His leading both now and in the years to come.

Mom and dad, there is hope. God can help you. He desires that your son/daughter know Him.

Let us know how we can help you.
