Mission Charleston is our week-long emphasis to serve others in our community.

Mission: Charleston (aka mChuck) 2009-2016 - Ministry partnership with other churches and youth groups to love on the SC lowcountry through many different projects touching all ages.

Examples include: VBS at Canebreak Apartments, Dorchester County Senior Center, Royal Oaks retirement home, The Palmetto House (homeless shelter), VBS at Sunrise Mobile Home Park, Veterans Healthcare, Low Country Food Bank, Seacoast Dream Center, Low Country Pregnancy Center, Connie Maxwell Childrens Home, St. George Healthcare, Water Mission, Eagle Harbor Boys Ranch, 911 ministry to police, fire & emergency responders, Reading clubs at Knightsville Elementary & Windsor Hill Arts Infused Elementary, Habitat for Humanity ReStores, and Lowcountry Orphan Relief, Dorchester County Public Schools, My Sister's House, Oakbrook Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Over the past few years we have had churches from SC, NC, FL, and the country of Curacao serve together for a week in the low country.

  • Closed toed shoes
  • Swim suit (not sure we will need but not bad idea to pack). Ladies (1 piece suit or modest tankini)
  • T-shirts for projects (avoid tank tops)
  • Sun block
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Clothes to get dirty (some projects are outside, some involve painting)
  • Work gloves
  • Sun glasses
  • Personal items
  • Bible
  • Spending money for snacks
  • Optional - Small personal bag/backpack to carry water bottle, gloves, ... to project sites.
  • Optional - hat
  • Optional - Some students bring an Eno for set-up during lunch or free time.

  • Habitat ReStore if particpant under 18 years of age.
  • My Sister's House form (Participants for My Sister's House must be 18 and over). If under 18, no need to fill out.
  • Water Mission form
  • Cypress Volunteer Form
  • Peaceful Way form (Form for Thursday night)
